WE ARE DEAD PRETTY.

Dead Pretty is a fashion & lifestyle concept dreamed up by Trish Fairbairn and Michelle Gillespie. Both Bondi locals with years of experience in the fashion world between them, it was a total no-brainer to come together to build a bright new virtual world for their Aussie brand. Dead Pretty encapsulates the relaxed, coastal lifestyle with a love of the 70s, 80s and 90s club scene, its icons, models and muses.

A careful curation of fashion staples and sparkly accessories from local designers and makers, complement Dead Pretty’s own debut collection of non-seasonal resort wear.

Disco inspired lurex tops, ruched hot pants and cherry glass earrings, wake up the dormant fun part of you that hibernates all week — because getting dressed on the weekend (or mid-week, no judgments) should prompt internal monologues like PJ Harvey's "I enjoy looking like a tart and thinking like a politician."

Jewellery inspired by ocean pearls, metallic crocheted clutches and sparkly chokers make you feel like it's the weekend everyday. The lovechild of disco balls and pineapples — Dead Pretty's own vegan bags made from the fibres of discarded pineapple leaves — are the kind of conversation starters that'll definitely earn you top rank in the bathroom line next weekend.

Dead Pretty is, in some ways, a response to a shift in fashion's attitude — away from the unrealistic and unsustainable. The notion of buying new outfits for every ‘do has long gone. The timeless beach-to-bar classics take you from lazy days in the sun to dancing after dark.

FOR THE LOVE OF DANCING,
TILL DEATH DO US PART.

The women that Dead Pretty manifests are ones from Trish and Michelle's inspo cache — the strong, defiant and natural. Dream babes from 90s iD mags, think ultimate tomboy vs seductresses like Emma Balfour, defiant PJ Harvey and Chloe Sevigny. 70s and 80s club life icons Bianca Jagger, Blondie, Grace Jones and Cher. Of course Aussie’s own Elle Macpherson and Margot Robbie. And the women of the future who have no choice but to be fearless.

Que a debut collection that wraps up a wealth of references to bygone eras. Dead Pretty’s shimmering lurex styles are designed to pair perfectly with barefoot, trainers or heels. Grace Jones Studio 54 inspired batwing tops, chic cowl neck halters ala Michelle Pfieffer and bodycon gathered tube dresses and bandeaus from the 90’s.

To complete the look there's whimsical jewels, conversation-starting accessories and out-of-the-box homewares. All sourced from local and international creatives — Jon Et Claude, Jean Riley, Brie Leon, Suryo and Degoey Planet to name a few.

Dead Pretty’s Non Seasonal collection salutes the deep love, fun and fearlessness of women and guarantees compliments every time.

SUNRISE TO SUNSET, WE'LL MAKE IT DEAD PRETTY.
