Handmade by PNG women
Traditional Bilum Bags in various shapes and colours - each one is unique. The bags are sourced directly by us with the ladies from the Kuli Village Lalibu in the Southern Highlands Province of PNG. Used traditionally to carry babies or carry food harvest. We reckon they are the perfect shopper or beach bag.
These intricate, woven bags use the Bilum technique of twisting and looping string in a rhythmical movement which has been passed down through the generations.
Made from natural tree fibres that are pulled from the bark of a wild Tulip tree and dried in the sun before weaving.
Natural bush dyes
Comes in a branded calico bag with a details card
